Some readers may think, well it’s just her side of the story, this couldn’t happen in the US. This is perhaps so far the greatest book I’ve read in a long, long time. This is a book about the misuse and autbiography of power of the State. See 1 question about Assata‚Ķ.

I’m not sure which books prompted the recommendation but it has proven to be spot on. And in my own mind, only someone who has been so intimately a victim of this madness as I have can do justice to what I have to say. Assatq case “i” and lower cases for names and places she would never give the honor of upper casing the first letter. Looking at other people’s interpretation of Assata’s autobiography, I would speculate that the habit of misspelling America’s name was meant to show disrespect or hatred for America however, I’m asasta unsure of the actual meaning behind this.

On the other hand, each time she is tried in court, the defense sound like so much evidence was corrupted by police to make Assata sound guilty. That’s why i couldn’t see fighting within the system.

The problems Assata faced as young black female growing up, is still being experienced to this present day by all black people.
