Por fin me topo con un personaje adolescente y sobrenatural que tiene los pies puestos sobre la tierra y que además, se comporta más como Ángel que como.

The one saving grace that got this book two stars rather than one was the characters. This is partly a reflection of Clara’s voice which wasn’t unbelievable, but pretty blandand partly a reflection of the fact that Hand was constantly stopping the story. The hype surrounding this is so enormous that you might as well try it, especially if you like paranormal romance.

Am I desighio now finished the third book and I can say that the other two books are a good read.

She was totally obsessed with Christian to the point that it felt stalkerish rather than romantic. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand. Unearthly tells a story of a sixteen-year old girl, Clara Gardner, who is a one-fourth part angel. It wasn’t bad hanx just okay. Yet, I was rolling my eyes the moment the word love popped into the picture.

Clara was really into Christian because he’s super hot, nice, and he’s her mysterious angel purpose. And I must say, I wanted to agree, because from what I can tell, most angel fiction is indeed pretty terrible. There was no focusing on the paranormal and angel genre, and if present it was very weak and rarely mentioned. Why is she constantly mad at Clara?

So how come a lot of people like it? I hated them when I was 16 and I hate them now 4 years later. Not only is the language itself disappointing, but the way the plot is constructed, too, is pretty bad.

But then she made friends with Clara, then I hated her. Particularly towards the beginning, Clara would constantly stop the plot to give us information about angels, her past, ect. She has visions of her purposewhich she guessed was to save Christian Prescott from a crazy forest fire. I get it, I’m nitpicky, but my cynthka is that there is no indication that these questions have answers or will be answered.

I imagined him standing there with a cauldron full of soap and a sacrificial boy or something. Unless you count her mooning over Christian and the stereotypical ‘jealous bitch’ he totes around as a girlfriend.

Unearthly brought nothing new to the young adult genre. In addition to Christian though, we have Tucker Avery – the annoying twin brother of Clara’s best friend, Wendy. This is honestly the best angel book I have read, better than Hush Hush or Halo or anything else.

StarCroosed Series by Josephine Angelini 4.

The story moves, albeit a bit slow, along. Before turning to writing for young adults, she studied literary fiction and earned both an M.

El designio del ángel

The inner me, the part who still wants to be positive about this whole shit says: The plot was way better than all the characters combined together. I know she’s trying to describe smells but any time she tries to offer sensory perception it falls flat, either because it’s cliche or Not half, not whole, but a quarter. I don’t recommend it and probably won’t continue with the series. Did not like it. Need I say more?

Thus, I didn’t have massively low expectations for my next angel novel. There seems to be an unspoken rule in YA that the protagonist can’t have a good relationship with his but usually her parents.

It was like 75th place on my TBR list lol i just wanted to read the first bit of it and got engulfed in the story. Refresh and try again.

El designio del ángel — Reader Q&A

Seriously, I get why she’d be pissed after that mall trip but just because she’s staring at Christian and for hanging out with Angela? And, most important, Tucker. I’m done with the series. By page I was about ready to give up – I was nearly halfway through and nothing remotely interesting had happened.

Yes, Clara and Tucker anhel like each other, but love?
