So, Grave Witch was actually a pretty fun book. She must quickly unravel the mystery or she stands to lose everything and get that one final visit from Death to collect her soul. Amal I am glad Cradt read this before I started the series because I have been eyeing the series forever and couldn’t make a decision.


But she has her own secrets.

Luckily for her, Falin comes into her life and is ready to help! Alex’s numerous and unbelievably complex problems transform this book into an unpredictable but fun read. I like the relationship between Alex and Death. Not even death can save her grabe. But the personal takes a backseat to the professional when a string of suicides occur in Nekros City and Alex is hired to investigate.

To top off her day, someone makes a serious attempt on her life, but Death saves wtich. Because Kalayna Price is an overachiever, you see. I don’t want to do that to myself again.

So am pretty picky on what I read when it comes to PNR. View all 20 comments. However, nothing is as it seems, and she quickly finds herself as a crafft in a nefarious plot. Except instead of raising zombies you raise “shades” and instead of a vampire and a werewolf you have a Fae and I did aklayna hate anyone in the book! You never know what’s going to happen next. It really says something when the highlights of a book can be summed up in only a couple of lines. I pick up EVERY urban fantasy novel lately with huge skepticism, because it’s like someone wrote a how-to book everyone uses called “how to mix vampires and werewolves and sassy heroines together!

I’ll definitely be reading the next one! Alex is a sad excuse of an urban fantasy heroine. The police hire Alex to consult on a particularly strange investigation in the nature preserve south of Nekros City.

I’ll just give a few thoughts, because, well, I know you are all on the edge of your seats, waiting for my ridiculous, silly, not-at-all- There aren’t that many older Urban Fantasy series that I have completely skipped, but this was one and I liked it.
