No one would have pictured them together, least of all themselves. Never letting on she knows about the bet. I loved how Mim stood up to Cals family and never made him feel stupid because he was dyslexic. She knows what she wants from life, and is absolutely the best sister ever. Curl up with Crusie, and become a convert! She would show them. Her textbook referrals to behavioural patterns are pretty funny, especially when she puts her theories into action, but in the end she knows Cal just as little as David knows Min.
She loved it so I one clicked it.
Gossamer Obsessions: Book Review: “Bet Me,” by Jennifer Crusie
I’ll bring it with me to RWA. I’m so glad I read it! I’ll just say that every time Cal kissed Min, Liza decked him with her purse. There were tons of laugh out loud moments, a fantastic secondary cast–loved her bff’s Bonnie and Liza!
They butt heads every time they are around each other. Jun 26, Hodan rated it it was ok. Made me giggle more than once, made my heart stop in anticipation and envy, and left me with a smile on my face every time I stopped the disc.

Their love story is entirely satisfying, and I know you will be rooting for their HEA, just as I was. It was actually quite beautiful to see this part come about, because it was such a subtle change, but remarkable. Seriously, I was this close to tearing up. One exciting and incredibly fun chick lit novel that will make you laugh and make you think about whether a happy ending is really possible and theory of chaos real.
About Haymore’s book -really? Lists with This Book. It takes awhile, but Cal unintentionally forces her to see her as she truly is. I especially loved how the epilogue was written, answered all my questions, and proved some of my suspicions.
Minerva Dobbs knows how to work the odds. I’d skip this one if I was you.
It is a charming, funny and just plain lovely story. Min retreats to one corner of the bar to be comforted by her two best friends, Bonnie and Liza. Min and crew could be any one of us modern girls trying to make their way in shark-infested waters.
There was nothing that I didn’t love about this story and I’m rushing now to read other books by jebnifer talented author. Just about everybody had a theory for love — Chaos theory, the Fairy Tale — but the one that was my favorite, the one I thought I should have copied down, was Cynthie’s theory.
Th My favorite Crusie book. And then I read Bet Me again, and again. Even Cynthie, the ex-girlfriend trying to win Cal back is beautiful and sexy Frusie who you are. I think what I liked most is that her characters felt so real.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Their paths keep crossing, and each time she insults him.
